WORLD VIDEO GAME HALL OF FAME FINALISTS REVEALED
Inductees to be announced June 4.
The Strong Museum has revealed 2015's finalists for induction into its World Video Game Hall of Fame.
The finalists are Angry Birds, DOOM, FIFA, The Legend of Zelda,Minecraft, The Oregon Trail, Pac-Man, Pokémon, Pong, The Sims,Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros., Tetris, andWorld of Warcraft.
Established earlier this year, the World Video Game Hall of Fame recognizes games from all platforms, including arcade, console, computer, handheld, and mobile. In order to be considered for induction, games were required to meet the following criteria: icon-status, longevity, geographical reach, and influence.
This year's inductees will be announced during a ceremony on June 4.
